Sekhar Kammula to direct heavy budget film

When we talk about the low-budget films which proved successful, we would immediately remember the name Sekhar Kammula, the director cum producer. He began his career with a very small budget film called ‘Anand’ in Telugu which was released in just two theaters first and later turned a big hit, of course earlier he did an experimental bilingual film titled 'Dollar Dreams', which is also proved success commercially. Again he proved himself with the film ‘Godavari’ with a little higher budget. His next film ‘Happy Days’ with all new faces literally shook the Box Office. All these successes made several heroes to show interest to work with Sekhar Kammula. However, he agreed to direct the debut film of Rana Daggubati, the grandson of Movie Moghul Dr D Ramanaidu and son of successful producer D Sureshbabu. Surprisingly the film is being produced on the banner of AVM Productions and it would be heavy budget film. It is also learnt that the film runs with politics in its backdrop. It is said that the film would be the highest ever budget film in Sekhar Kammula’s career. The film is most likely to start rolling very soon and Haripriya, a Malayalam girl, is likely to be introduced to the Telugu film industry as heroine through the movie.
