We have already heard that Kajol and Rani Mukherjee are being considered for the Hindi version of Arundhati. Now the latest news in Bollywood is that South India’s own star Asin is being approached to play the role played by Anushka in Arundhati, directed by Kodi Ramakrishna and produced by M. Shyam Prasad Reddy
Anushka plays a double role in Arundhati; as a princess from the Nawabi era and a girl from the present times. A visual extravaganza, Arundhati is receiving rave reviews and is reaping rich rewards at the box office. It is not common to see a heroine-oriented film becoming the craze among the masses; Anushka, with her fantastic performance in the double role, is also getting much appreciation.
Asin’s debut in Bollywood was nothing less than magic. She acted with Aamir Khan, one of the finest film personalities in Bollywood in Ghajini which was declared one of the biggest all-time hits. She is currently working in London Dreams with Salman Khan.
One thing is very clear. Whether it is Rani, Kajol or Asin, Arundhati will be a challenging role, yet one of the best roles that they can ever dream of in their careers.
