After completing its 15 days schedule in Bangkok, director Trivikram Srinivas' much-hyped action entertainer Varudu, starring 'Prince' Mahesh Babu and new South Indian sensation Anushka, will soon begin its 45 days schedule at exotic locations of Rajasthan from June 23. It is heard that the crew will shoot a few songs on Mahesh Babu and Anuksha in this period.

After the tremendous success of Athadu (2005), this is the second time Mahesh Babu teams up with director Trivikram Srinivas in Varudu, an adventurous, comedy-oriented love story, produced by Singanamala Ramesh under the banner of Kanakarathna Movies. Mahesh Babu plays the role of a taxi driver, while Prakashraj is the villain.

Sunil and Brahmanandam have key roles in this movie being cinematographed by ace Bollywood cameraman Sunil Patel of Hum Tum and Bachna Ae Haseeno fame. Mani Sharma is scoring the music.

Mahesh Babu’s arudu has been getting shot at rapid place. Trivikram Srinivas is directing this film for producer Singanamala Ramesh. Anushka is playing opposite Mahesh Babu in this film. If the sources are to be believed Mahesh Babu is playing a cab driver in this film.

It is also said that thinking that he is her would be Anushka daily hires his cab and travels with Mahesh Babu. The comedy part is that it is Bramhanandam who had sent her Mahesh Babu’s details. It is said that Bramhanandam sends Mahesh Babu’s details to Anushka instead of his own details.

Mahesh-Anushka-Trivikram to mint success

Shooting of the latest film of Maheshbabu, with Anushka in the female lead, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, presented by S Satya Ramamurthy and produced by Singanamala Rameshbabu under the banner of Kanakaratna Movies was finally launched at Annapurna Studios recently. 

Speaking on the occasion, Maheshbabu said, “I was impressed with the story narrated by Trivikram Srinivas after a hit film like Athadu. I listened to the story and inspired by the subject, I am doing the film with a lot of interest. The film will come up with high technical standards and will definitely attract all classes of audiences.”

Heroine Anushka commented, “This is my first film with Maheshbabu. I am very happy for acting in Trivikram’s direction.'

Producer Rameshbabu said, “We will complete 50 per cent of the film with the schedule that ends by the end of June. We are building a village set exclusively for the film near Gandipet at a cost of Rs 2 crore. Likewise, we are also erecting a Rajasthan temple set with a huge budget. The July schedule is planned in Namibia of South Africa, while the August schedule is planned in Rajasthan. We will choreograph songs in Italy in September. We have plans to complete the post-production works in October and November and release the film in December. It is well aware that Mahesh has given a blockbuster like Pokiri, Anushka has given a super hit like Arundhati, while Trivikram is enjoying the success of Jalsa. The combination of these successful trio would definitely be a huge success.”

Arundhathi Avenges Her Death… errr… 80 Years Late…!

ANUSHKA SHETTY is flying high at last. She has been dancing, dancing and dancing in movies without any proper character to enact with requisite skills. But times change fast and now producer SHYAM PRASAD REDDY and director KODI RAMA KRISHNA have embarked upon elevating her stature to an actress who could carry a film on her shoulders.

Undermining her effort in the movie… Anushka says that it is a challenging role. Interestingly, she is portraying the character of a princess of the 1920 era as well as a modern day girl. Shyam Prasad Reddy… who was bogged down by Chiranjeevi’s ANJI (mega flop) is now trying his best to get his film the best technicians possible in a given budget as he always does. Remember… AMMORU staring late SOUNDARYA which had the best visual effects on Indian screen at that time…! He describes this upcoming flick as a gripping entertainer. According to him, Arundhathi is a tale of a princess who avenges her death after 80 years… (this storyline seems familiar… isn’t it? But lets hope that it would be as gripping as they claim it to be…). Director Kodi Rama Krishna who directed Ammoru too… says that this upcoming movie would have good special effects.
