Jr NTR Finding 'It' Difficult

Just yesterday, it was reported that young tiger NTR junior has got back to work and has begun shooting for his new movie which is being directed by the dynamic V V Vinayak. However, it is also said that junior has been going through few problems which is making things difficult for him.

The issue is about controlling the food intake and it is heard that junior has picked up some weight in the past few months due to the accident and bed rest. Now, his urge for eating is said to be picking up again but he fears if this continues, then he might become like that of Rakhi days.

If that happens, then maybe heroines like Charmee might be happy to see the round and chubby junior as they have reportedly preferred him like that. However, junior is said to be working out and has been going through a regulated schedule.

'Shiva' Remake With Naga Chaitanya

Trendsetting movies have been quite few in the Telugu film history and one flick that stands apart is ‘Shiva’ starring Nagarjuna and directed by the genius Ramgopal Varma. Now, a strong buzz is making rounds in the Tollywood circles and if it happens, then it will be interesting.

It is said that as a third venture, planning is going on by actor-director JD Chakavarthy to come up with a remake of ‘Shiva’. He is said to be showing interest in the project and talks are said to be going on with Nagarjuna and RGV with JD taking the lead.

Already JD remade the Bollywood hit ‘Ab Tak Chappan’ in Telugu as Siddham with Jagapathi Babu and proved his directorial capability. On the flip side, many are saying that it is time JD starts looking at something original than just remakes. For now, it looks like ‘Shiva’ might come back with his cycle chain.

Lata Mangeshkar to sing in Telugu!

A pleasant surprise for Telugu film lovers. After a gap of over many years, melody queen and Bharata Ratna Lata Mangeshkar has agreed to sing for Telugu films, if she gets such an opportunity. Lata, who is presently rendering Annamacharya keerthanas for the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, expressed her desire to sing for Telugu films during her felicitation in Mumbai on Sunday.

The last and only time that she sang for Telugu films was for the film Akari Poratam, “Santhaanam,” and the famous song – “Nidurapo…Nidurapo.. Niduraporaa Tammudaa..” still reverberates in the houses of Telugu film lovers. If she can sing a couple of more Telugu films, it will be a great opportunity for the Telugu film industry. Hope our music directors will capitalise on this opportunity.

Dasari Upset With Ileana

Mumbai actresses have learnt to add 'garu' beside a star or celeb's name but most of them forget to say 'Namaste' when they greet them or they perhaps say Hi or a Hello thinking it's cool and happening. Some even say Hello Andi which is permissible by industry standards. It's all in the mind, though. At Saleem..Dummu Reputhaadu shooting that's happening in Jayabheri Studios, Ileana and Vishnu had industry bigwigs Dasari Narayana Rao and Ramanaidu visiting them accompanied by Mohanbabu. Ileana said 'Hi' to Dasari and he corrected her immediately that it is not done and one should greet elders respectfully. The actress was taken aback but she reportedly said that that was her style of greeting people. Dasari Narayana Rao may ignore anything but he's not likely to take such things easy. In an industry where egos are fragile, careers are temporary..it takes certain amount of humility to survive.

Hot star Suriya has proved his versatility time and again. The hot star of Kollywood does it again. This time he has experimented by playing a negative character. Reports say that Suriya plays an anti hero in a Tamil film Aadhavan. The film is directed by K.S.Ravikumar and will be dubbed in Telugu as well. The leading lady in the film is Nayanthara. The actor definitely believes in setting new standards and has been constantly doing that so his negative shade would be interesting to watch and all eyes are also on Nayantara since she desperately needs a hit to bounce back into the race. The film is now said to have been getting a lot of attention given the stars and a bit of the story.

The milk white beauty Tamannah made a not so impressive debut but a string of successes followed her first film. The lady was talked about her performance in 'Kalloori' in Tamil. The buxom KBL papa Swetha Basu Prasad made a mark with her debut film and she also turned hot in her second film Ride. Swetha is now being flooded with offers. Swetha signed up for a film opposite Uday Kiran recently. Swetha is now acting in a new film titled Speed. The film is now in the final stages of shooting. Vaibha is the hero. Vaibhav is the son of Kodandarami Reddy. Like Ride the new film Speed is also a youthful romantic action entertainer. The film will be ready for release in a couple of months.

Magadheera in three languages

The stage is now all set for the big budget period film Magadheera to hit the screens. The film will be released in three languages Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam on the same date i.e. July 22. Producer Allu Aravind has made the film on a lavish scale with a budget of over 35 crores and it is easily the costliest film ever made in Telugu so far. The film will be released with a record number of prints. Ram Charan and Kajal Agarwal are the lead pair and Sri Hari plays the villain. Rajamouli is the director and music is by MM Keeravani.

Suhasini as Allu Arjun’s mother

National award winning actress-director-producer-cinematographer Suhasini, wife of ace director Mani Ratnam, is all set to make her reentry in Tollywood! The multi-talented actress will be seen in the role of Allu Arjun’s mother in director Guna Sekhar’s latest film, being produced by Danayya under the banner of Universal Media. The film has started rolling from March 22 in a grand set built at Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad. Tamil actor Arya, who is basking in the glory of his superb performance in Nan Kadavul, is acting as the antagonist in this film. Music is scored by Mani Sharma and lyrics are penned by Veturi. Ashok is the art designer, while Stunt Shiva composes the action scenes. Editing will be by Srikar Prasad and photography by R.D. Rajasekhar.

The real story is that Hamsa Nandini was actually playing a tough cop in the film and the tall and svelte beauty was also seen doing some tough stunts and beating up the baddies in the film. So how did the pretty face land up with a tough role like this? The flashback is that at the audition, Hamsa was almost an immediate choice. Some years ago it was only Kamal Hassan and Rajnikanth films that were being remade in Telugu, but now more and more heroes want their film in Telugu. Case in point are Suriya and Vikram, after Vaaranam Aayiram (Suriya s/o Krishnan in Telugu) and Ayan (Veedokkade in Telugu), Suriya is now coming up with Aadhavan which would be dubbed in Telugu. In the meanwhile Malanna a Vikram film is all set to release. Even Ajith is making an entry with Mallika I Love You. Looking at the pace in which these films are coming-up, it may not be long before dubbed films would eat away into the straight Telugu films market.

‘Samkham’ shooting in Sydney

Evergreen hero Gopichand as hero in film ‘Samkham’ is being directed by Souryam Siva under the banner Sri Balaji Cine Media. J. Bhagawan, J. Pulla Rao are jointly producing this film. The shooting is being done with rapid speed from June 21 onwards in Australia. In this connection, one of the producers Bhagawan narrated that – we have started the shooting schedules from June 21 onwards at Sydney in Australia. The main scenes are being shot on Gopichand, Trisha, Chandramohan, Srinivas Reddy, Dharmavarapu, Swathi, Rajitha and Telangana Sakuntala.

Another producer Pulla Rao spoke as – Till July 21 the shooting will be done in Sydney. We are planning to picturise two songs on Gopichand and Trisha which are closely related to the story of this film. From June 29 onwards, one song will be picturised in Sydney and the other one will be shot at the nearby places. Shobi Master is the choreographer for this movie.

Tamil actor Satyaraj will be playing an important character in this film.

This e-mail which came in the form of a newsletter, from the mail id actress.namitha2002 @gmail.com, urged the receivers to watch her upcoming movie Indira Vizha which is scheduled to hit the screens on July 10. According to Namitha, a total of 20 lakh e-mails have been sent out and she claims that she received approximately 22,000 replies within one hour. “It was amazing because I never expected such an overwhelming response. I was so overjoyed that I even replied back to some of the mails immediately,” says the excited actress.
