Srija Pregnanant before marriage??

It appears that Srija, daughter of Chiranjeevi, was pregnant before she got married to Sirish Bharadwaj.

It was on October 17, 2007 that Srija got married to Sirish at Arya Samaj Mandir, Secunderabad. Thereafter, they went to all places in the country to escape hunting by Chiranjeevi's brothers and fans. Finally, they got settled in Hyderabad after Chiru declaring that he had all the blessings for his daughter.

Now, on July 5, 2008, Srija gave birth to a baby girl. Which means, it is not even nine months since they got married. Yet, she delivered a baby. It must be, therefore, a premature birth, or an early pregnancy before marriage. Going by the health condition of the baby, it is evident that Srija was pregnant before the marriage itself.

Interestingly, the news about Srija's pregnancy has been kept a close guarded secret. Going by the grapevine, the couple did not want it to be disclosed, as it would send a wrong message. Perhaps, even Chiranjeevi might have been kept in dark!!

Megastar has become grandfather

Megastar Chiranjeevi has now become a grandfather. His daughter Srija gave birth to a baby girl at a private nursing home at Marredpally in Secunderabad on Saturday morning.

Even as he is making all preparations for the launch of his new political party, he received this news in the morning. Though it is obviously a good news for Chiranjeevi, he must be feeling sad that he could not get his daughter admitted to a posh hospital for delivery.

He did not express any feelings when he heard the news.

However, Srija and her husband Sirish Bharadwaj are said to be of the view that their daughter would help the two families united at least now. They are said to be planning to go to Chiranjeevi for blessings.

How Chiru astrological conditions??

With the stage almost set for Megastar Chiranjeevi's political entry, the entire state is looking at it in a very critical and analytical way and considering the orthodox and traditional nature of our Telugu folk, the astrologers are not far behind in predicting the outcome of all this.

He said that Chiru has one of the very few powerful horoscopes wherein having a single 'Mahapurusha' yoga will take the individual to envious heights but then Chiru is said to have not one but two 'Mahapurusha' yogas which gives him the strength to reach the peak in any field that he chooses. Also, the planetary position of the other 'Grahas' are also in very favorable positions for Chiru which looks like a cake walk for him. But then here is flip side from Chandramouli, he says that what is termed as 'Manahkaarakudu' in astrological terms which is known in common terms as the Moon is said to be in a very weak position and Moon is the one which decides the mental and emotional conditions of a person. Not only that, Moon is chief planet for power in state politics. 

The 'Astro Maestro' has also said that currently, Chiru is undergoing the seven and a half years Sani period which is the roughest patch for anyone. This started about one and a half years ago for Chiru and this could well be one reason why he is getting coaxed into politics. According to the astrological science, anything bad that Chiru may have done when not in this period will now affect him and the major objective of the Sani is to ensure that you do not get what you aim for and it only takes a lot of will power to overcome the hurdle. If Chiru has done good deeds then this will neutralize the ill effects and minimize it to a great extent during this period. So the next six years are really crucial for Chiru and whether he has done good or bad during his life, the results and effects will be known in this time. The horoscopes sometimes cannot be ignored when you look at few examples, the talk of Chiru coming into politics was happening from the year 1999 but then it has only happened now which could well be the effect of the 'Sani' period. 

Vakkantham is of the opinion that Chiru needs to be totally devoid of allsorts of bad acts during the next six years, stay away from even thinking about doing anything bad, be totally spiritual and involve extensively in spiritual and pooja acts which will gear him up for the mud slinging and the severe verbal attacks and allegations. But can it be possible in politics? That is million-dollar question. 

Astrology apart, the time has come where Chiru has reached the point of no return. If he refrains from entering into politics, then this will surely displease his fans and a few community heads since his need is being felt in a strong way to shape the future of Andhra Pradesh. On the other hand, Chiru's family is concerned about the outcome of all this as they will not be able to show their face if defeat happens. So, it is a battle of will power against astrological imbalances, a contest between doing good to the people and facing some bitter taste of politics. Megastar Chiranjeevi is right now in the center of all this and only time will tell whether he will stand up to the 'Challenge' and become 'Andarivaadu' or not.

Balakrishna said that the marriage of his father NTR with Lakshmi Parvathi is not legal. But Lakshmi Parvathi condemned it and said that Balakrishna is talking in insulting way about his father. 

She said that she got divorce from Veeragandham Subba Rao on 15th April 1993 and married NTR on September 11th as per Hindu Marriage Act. She also recalled that NTR publicly announced that he would marry her if she agrees on 10th September just a day before the marriage. She declared that she didn't marry NTR for his properties. 

"Even the court made me a member in Basavatarakam Trust considering me as family member", she added.

Anushka in love?

Anushka's debut opposite Nagarjuna in Super was exactly that: super. Ileana commits suicide ???

Usually, it does not take long for rumors to dismiss as rumors but then when a rumor is slowly turning out to be a fact then there is something interesting. One such incident which has raised the curiosity of many among the media and the film industry is the grapevine that has been making rounds about the possible suicide attempt by the heartthrob Ileana.

Apparently, since the past two days there was a strong buzz going on about a suicide attempt by Ileana and though it was regarded as a rumor in the beginning, it is now being said that there is a high element of truth in it. If news is to be believed then Ileana is said to have attempted suicide on Saturday morning and the possible cause is said to be love failure. From then on those who have been trying to reach her through calls have been received by her mom who said that she is sleeping and she has dismissed this news as a useless grapevine.

The incident has taken a 'real' shape since it is heard that the news has been confirmed from the maid of Ileana's house and this has converted the rumor into a fact. Further digging is on and we will keep you posted on this front as and when we get the news.

But now it seems that there is a solution for this Piracy devil which is faced by the industry. All the movies lovers, especially Telugu do not have the choice to go the theaters to view their favorite movies on big screen. On Sunday i.e on 15th March, 2009, recently released movie “Sasirekha Parinayam” was aired on a television network. This movie is still running in theatres and was released on January 1st, 2009. As a result most of the populace of Andhra Pradesh was glued to their television sets on this day. Though the movie was a bit dragging, everyone enjoyed it as it was a fresh movie.

According to rules, all the movies which are 2 years old can be aired on television networks. But no one in this busy world will have patience and time to watch 2 years old movie. So, if the television networks start to air newly released movie which are 3-6 months old, Piracy can be cut short by 50%-80% and slowly it will meet its end.

Hope all the producers whether big or small understand his and encourage this airing of newly released movies within 6 months. Instead of opposing it by rules and regulations, this way of airing may earn some profits.

Chiranjeevi, the Megastar of tollywood is into politics with his newly clad Praja Rajyam party which took birth in August 2008.the megastar is boosting the media and public that he will win at least 100 seats in the coming elections which is on contrary to the election survey results.

However, politics is a racy profession where un-predictable results can be expected. Perhaps, Chiranjeevi may win the elections and become a chief minister with some respective majority. But, if in case, he looses the elections. What will happen to his personnel and professional life? This is termed as a big question which is circulating in his mind.

• The PR party president has declared that he will from now on work in some message oriented subjects and so will be unavailable for commercial films. So, if this is the case he will not have a financial gain from message oriented films.
  
• All he has to do is to form an opposition and criticize the ruling government for its wrong doings his first younger brother Naga Babu will go into the film profession and will produce or act in films. Pawan Kalyan will turn to his film career and will be busy
  
• But, one thing is for sure; the sheen and value which they have or have gathered till date will be lost and will remain as a dull opposition. With no films in hand Chiru’s celebrity status will be lost. Tabu aunty to please Nagarjuna’s son

Indian actress Tabu, who is well known for her acting skills in off beat as well as commercial movies, is said to eyeing on Tollywood as her Bollywood film career seems to be a bit dull. Tabu, who is reaching her forties in a couple of years is planning to settle down in matrimonial bliss in 2010 and so is open to all types of film roles in this year.

In a recent media interview, Tabu disclosed that she feels safe and secure in Hyderabad as she has an own palatial house, friend circle, social circle and financial resources which are enough to offer comfort to her in many ways.

Now, the main news is that she is going to feature in the debut film of Naga Chaitanya and that to in a glam doll role. Some unit sources report that she will play a special and typical role which will be a bit spicy, romantic and message giving. Though her role is not openly discussed, some reliable sources report that, Naga Chaitanaya will admire her initially and as soon as the heroine comes into the scene, Tabu’s character ends from then on.

Magadheera to release in April itself

Magadheera which is the second movie of Ram Charan Teja is said to release in the month of April itself. According to close sources to director Rajamouli, the movie is taking its shapes in Kompalli, Hyderabad and some sequences are being filmed on Ram Charan teja. The crew ill again meet on Sunday in order to can some more sequences and the movie is all said to be ready by April 15th. According to sources, Chiranjeevi has ordered Rajamouli to hurry with the film in order to get released before elections.

Some sources report that Rajamouli was planning to release the movie in May mid month, but due to the force and objection from Megastar, the movie is being released in April itself.

Magadheera is in the making from the past tow years which has become a major drawback to Ram Charan’s film career. So, in order to clean up this time lapse and to maintain the name of Megastar among the film audiences the movie is fastened to be released before elections. Kajal Agarwal will be the lady love of Ram in this movie and Keeravani is the music director for this film.

Junior NTR is playing accident Drama Congress

Junior NTR who met with a critical accident in the wee hours of March 27th, 2009 is recovering from its pangs slowly. He is under the medical supervision of six member team of specialists in KIMS hospital, Hyderabad.

In order to reach Hyderabad on the day of Ugadi, Junior NTR rushed to Hyderabad pausing his Andhra districts campaigning and was 130 Kms away from the city when this accident took place. According to eye witnesses Junior NTR was in the driving eat and was driving his majestic black Tata Safari at around 150 KMPH.

Unfortunately, the accident took place and he has sustained some major injuries on his head. Meanwhile, the opposition party members, Mainly Congress political party has claimed that Junior NTR is acting in a accident drama which is being directed by Nara Chandra Babu. In order to gain some sympathy votes in the coming elections, the whole drama is said to be a part of CBN’s mind game.

Some of the congress leaders, who are mainly from Hyderabad, claim that if the police have reported correct statement, then any person traveling at that speed in a 4*4 powered SUV will die immediately. But, all his co –passengers are safe and only JR. NTR has been injured. Anjan Kumar Yadav who is a congress party leader has also revealed that almost 6 stuntmen from Mumbai, Delhi and Malaysia have been contacted and it is their master plan which was implemented in this accident drama.

Since, Junior NTR is a born actor, no one can teach him acting more than him. Meanwhile, the sources, say that Junior NTR will be on bed rest for 10 days and will be campaigning with bandages from Aril 12th onwards.

Junior NTR’s presence missed by all

Junior NTR who is presently recovering from his accident injuries is said to be away from shooting schedules for around 6 weeks. Though the doctors have confirmed that after a 10 day rest, he will be back for film shootings; his mother has revealed that her son will not be available to the outside world for around 6 weeks.

It is said that Jr NTR’s mother is shocked with the accident and is said to be in deep depression. She also reported to a media source that her son met with an accident due to “Nara Drishti” and so will not participate in political campaigning or film shootings from now on.

Meanwhile, TDP sources are missing the young tigers campaigning as the star attraction of their party was Jr NTR. Harikrishna, Tarak, Kalyan Ram nor even to say Balakrishna had the knack to attract the public towards the party. But Junior NTR’s presence was just enough to fetch the valuable votes of the voters.

Meanwhile, Congress and PRP are a bit relaxed as Jr NTR punching dialogues were making their lives difficult a bit. Now, since the young tiger is back in the resting cage, they can continue their usual fight in between each other.

Some of the young generation who saw Jr NTR as their inspiration is depressed by his absence in the coming elections.

Nag and Tabu are just friends Amala

Nagarjuna and Tabu is still the hot pair among the celebrity stars in tollywood. After featuring in Ninne Pelladatha the pair became the talk of the town for involving in a love affair. But later on, Nag cleared the air that Tabu was just his friend.

However, close sources to actress Tabu claimed that she was indeed in love with Nagarjuna and even proposed to him. But since he denied, she is still waiting in her life for the man who is as perfect as Nagarjuna to marry.

Recently, on the first day of Lakme Fashion week, Nagarjuna and actress Tabu were seen at the venue. Nagarjuna accompanied Tabu to the fashion week and shared the ramp with her for a brief stint.

Nagarjuna was seen listening patiently to Tabu, whereas the lady was going on with the conversation as if she has met a childhood friend after a long time. The shutter bags captured Nagarjuna and Tabu and published the pair’s photo in the media.

On Sunday, Amala, wife of Nagarjuna attended a close knit Kitty party. Well known socialites Reddy sisters also attended the party. On seeing Amala, they enquired about her well being and in presence of the other guests and they pooped out the question to Amala that “Why Nag was with Tabu instead of her”? Amala was a bit surprised initially, but later on gathered courage and replied to them that “As Nagarjuna and Tabu are good friends they meet each other at least once in a month. She also added that whenever Tabu visits Hyderabad, she feels comfortable in Nag’s house and Amala doesn’t feel unsecured about Tabu, as she has full faith in Nag.

RAVI TEJA IN ‘LADIES TAILOR’ SEQUEL

The film ‘Ladies Tailor’ with Rajendra Prasad in the title role was a runaway hit. The film directed by Vamsi was a pure comic entertainer. Vamsi is now getting ready to make a sequel to Ladies Tailor. The new film will be titled as ‘Fashion Designer’ with a tagline ‘Son of Ladies Tailor’. The new film will be set with a city backdrop. Ravi Teja is being sounded by Vamsi for the lead role. Vamsi had earlier made the hit film ‘Avunu Vallu Iddaru Ishtapaddaru’ with Ravi Teja as hero and Kalyani as the heroine.

NAG, TABU CAUGHT ENJOYING AT…

The news about Nagarjuna and Tabu is always known to generate curiosity as well as sensation. So much has been written about them that one would think any new news would not generate readers’ interest. But they are a mystique pair and they continue to generate interest even today as they did more than a decade ago. Nagarjuna, who is under tremendous pressure form the congress party to campaign for it has chosen to avoid it by staying out of Hyderabad. Nagarjuna was spotted at the Lakme Fashion show in Mumbai. He was enjoying the show in the company of his long time ‘friend’ Tabu. Nagarjuna even posed happily for the lens men with had hand wrapped around Tabu’s waist. Nag spent more than two hours at the event and later disappeared. Same was the case with Tabu.

NAYANTARA BOOKED @ RS 65 LAKHS

Recession seems to be far away from top heroines of South India. Nayantara is freshly offered a whopping sum of Rs 65 lakhs for a mere 35 day shoot. It is for the film Anjaneyulu to pair beside Ravi Teja. Apart from this Nayanatara has also got a film to do with NTR. While Ravi Teja’s is going to be a comedy dominating movie NTR’s is an action blend, say sources. Taking the inspiration of Nayantrara if other heroines also ask for such big sums, the plight of producers will be hard to run smooth.

Varudu to hit the floors

Putting to rest all speculation, the film titled Varudu with prince Mahesh Babu in the title role is finally set to hit the floors on April 23. Mahesh Babu will report for shooting from April 26. Varudu is the new film of Mahesh Babu after Athidi.

Trivikram Srinivas, who had made the hit film Athadu with Mahesh is the director. Mani Sarma is the music director. Anushka is the first heroine and the second heroine is yet to be finalized. The director says that the film will be shot non-stop and will be Ready in six months, in time for Dasara or Deepavali release.

Arya vs Allu Arjun, one-on-one

The regular shooting of a film directed by Gunasekhar and produced by DVV Danaiah under the banner of Universal Media with Allu Arjun as hero began at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad recently. This heavy budget film has a Tamil Hero as villain. During the present schedule, director planned Allu Arjun’s introduction song at a specially erected set at RFC under the choreography of Prem Rakshit.

Producer said, "Arya, who has played the lead role in the recent release Nenu Devuduni, and has portrayed lead roles in many of the Tamil heavy budget movies, has agreed to play the negative role in this film after listening to the subject. He has adjusted his dates as he is impressed with the story."

Director said, "The characterisation of the Hero and the villain’s roles are at par with each other. Especially their combination scenes would be very interesting. Movie in praise of Chiranjeevi

Dasari Narayana Rao criticized Chiranjeevi in the film Mesthri. Now a Chiranjeevi supporter is making a film in praise of the megastar. The film titled Praja Nayakudu commenced shooting in Hyderabad the other day. 

B Ramesh is producing the film under the Amma Arts Productions banner. PC Adithya is the director. The film is an out and out political satire. The film will take pot shots at chief minister YS Rajashekar Reddy and the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu. Chiranjeevi will be portrayed as a valiant saviour who quits films to come and help the poor and the downtrodden. The film will be completed in a single schedule and will be released in the second week of April.

Anjaneyulu, an out and out entertainer

Shooting of Anjaneyulu directed by Parasuram of Yuvatha-fame and presented by Ravikiran Babu and produced by Ganeshbabu under the banner of Parameswara Arts with Ravi Teja and Nayantara in the lead was formally launched at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad recently. Renu Desai gave the clap, while state minister Botsa Satyanarayana switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised on Ravi Teja under the honorary direction of VV Vinayak. Earlier, Pawan Kalyan had performed the puja activities and handed over the script to the director.

Later Ravi Teja said, "This is an out and out entertainer. I liked the script very much and agreed to do this film. I am very happy to work in a film being produced by my friend Ganesh."

Director Parasuram commented, "I will make use of this good opportunity well to establish myself as director. The story has entertainment, besides emotion."

Producer said, "So far, my life has moved on a single track mud road. From now on, I wish it would run on a national highway. I thank Pawan Kalyan and Puri Jagannath for giving me an opportunity to turn producer. I am producing a film in their combination under our banner. This would be the second film under our banner and I specially thank Ravi Teja for accepting this film. We will make the film a memorable one in Ravi Teja's career. Adurs to be dubbed in Malayalam

Director V.V. Vinayak's ongoing big-budget Telugu film Adurs, starring Junior NTR and Nayantara in the lead, will reportedly be dubbed in Malayalam. Presented by B. Vamsi Mohan and produced by Kodali Venkateswara Rao alias Nani under the banner of Vaishnavi Arts, the film is progressing at a brisk pace in the surroundings of Hyderabad.

It is believed that Adurs can make it big in Kerala, as its lead ladies Sheela and Nayantara hail from Kerala and have a good fan circle there, which can help draw audiences to the theatres in a big way.

One of the top heroines in Tamil, Nayantara, for the first time, shares screen space with Jr. NTR. Sources say that Nayantara, who did a bikini act in the Ajith starrer Billa (Tamil), will repeat the same act in Telugu for this NTR starrer. Rumours say that that Nayantara is likely to display more glamour in this flick, as she is facing tough competition in Tamil and Telugu from Anushka and Priyamani.

The major portions of Adurs, including talkie, songs and fights, are been shot at Ramoji Film City. Planned as a complete family entertainer, Adurs has music be Devi Sri Prasad and will hit theatres on July 9.

Simbu's Silambattam becomes Maavadu

Reigning Tamil action hero Simbu's recent Tamil action extravaganza Silambattam, directed by cinematographer-turned-director Saravanan and produced by Muralidharan, will be dubbed in Telugu as Maavadu. Released on December 19, 2008 to packed houses in India, Silambattam was declared a super hit from its third week onwards, as it is did good business in most centres.

The Telugu audio release was held at the Four Frames theatre on Tuesday (March 11). The audio was released by Producer Council President Ramnarayan and received by producer R.B. Chowdry of Super Good Films. Producers Murlidharan, Venu Gopal and Swaminathan were present in the event.

With the release of Silambattam in Telugu, Simbu will join the club of actors like Surya and Vishal, whose films are routinely dubbed into Telugu, producer Vasu said. Maavadu will hit theatres within the next couple of weeks.

Suresh Krissna strikes back with Mestri

After a hiatus of three years, well-known director Suresh Krissna is back to direct a Telugu film titled Mestri (also spelled Meistry), starring none other than the veteran director Dasari Narayan Rao. The film has completed its entire shooting and is all set to hit theatres on March 11.

The audio of the film was recently launched on the eve of Mahasivaratri at Taj Deccan, Hyderabad. Music is by Vande Mathram Srinivas. Produced and written by Dasari Narayana Rao with a budget of Rs. 3 crores under the banner of Siri Media Pvt. Ltd., Mestri is touted to be a hard-hitting, intense film with a lot of scope for the director.

Set in the backdrop of a shipyard, the film is a tale about an old man's vision and his mission against the system. According to sources, the film is not a regular, run-of-the-mill commercial film. It doesn't have hero-heroine stuff, no duets, no item songs or vulgar jokes. The director says that Mestri is a clean film. Mestri also has Mohan Babu, Srihari and TV actress Sujitha in vital roles. All the shooting, post-production and censor formalities were complete for Rs 999 Mathrame directed by Parsa Mahender and produced by G Naveen under the banner of Never Nine Creators.

Aa Okkadu to grace

Popular actor Ajay's upcoming Telugu film Aa Okkadu, directed by debutant M.S. Murthy and produced by Ganapati Raju Indukuri under the banner of Tolly 2 Holly, has been scheduled to hit theatres on May 1.

The shooting is currently progressing in and around Hyderabad. After a gap of 20 years, Malayalam superstar Sureshgopi plays a crucial role in this film. Madhurima is the heroine. The producer is making efforts to launch the audio in the first week of April.

Planned as a suspense thriller, Aa Okkadu revolves around seven interesting characters. Mani Sharma has scored the music. This film was earlier scheduled to begin in October 2008 but was delayed. The crew has already completed 60% of the shooting and the rest will be completed within a short time.

Sudhakar Chaganti is the co-producer. The film's makers met the media at the Cinemax recently to reveal its progress. Sureshgopi, director M.S. Murthy, Ajay and Madhurima were among those present on the occasion.

Honarary Doctorate for Jayasudha

Veteran South Indian actress Jayasudha, who debuted with the Telugu film Pandanti Kapuram (1972) at age 12 and acted in over 275 films in all languages, has been conferred with Honorary Doctorate by Andhra Pradesh Open University, also known as Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University of Hyderabad.

During her career spanning nearly 38 years, Jayasudha has won numerous awards, including 9 Nandi Awards for the best actress for Jyothi (1975), Amekatha (1977), Idi Katha Kadu (1979), Premabishekam (1981), Meghasandesam (1982) and Dharmatmudu (1983) and Filmfare Award for the best supporting actress for Amma Naana O Tamil Ammayi (2004).

Jayasudha is famous for her riveting performance and has acted as heroine with all top actors of her time, including Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, ANR, NTR, Krishna and many others. She is considered the top actress for mother roles at present. Jayasudha recently won laurels for her portrayal as a mother in Bommarillu.

Meanwhile, it is heard that Jayasudha may contest from Secunderabad assembly constituency in the forthcoming polls. She is currently the heroine of Neramu Shiksha (under production) opposite superstar Krishna. Directed and produced by Vijaya Nirmala under the banner of Vijayakrishna Movies, Neramu Shiksha is Krishna's 333rd film. The film was launched at Annapurna Studios on January 21, 2009.

Though Sivaji does not have many hits to his credit, he continues to play hero in many number of films every year. He has earned a name as a Hero of low-budget films with minimum guarantee. It has been reliably learnt that Sivaji would soon turn a producer too. He has reportedly bagged the remake rights of a successful Kannada film Taj Mahal in Telugu. Directed by Chandru, the film has music by Abhiman and it has been proved to be a musical hit there. Sivaji himself would play the Hero in this romantic entertainer and he has reportedly shed six kg for the film and has turned very slim.

Romeo: A love story with a difference

Aryan Rajesh and Shraddha Arya play the lead roles in Romeo with Srihari in a very important role. The talkie portions have been completed. The 2 songs yet to be canned will be filmed in beautiful locations of Hyderabad in the coming days.

Of the two songs, one will be picturised on Aryan with a group of dancers; Break Srinu will choreograph the steps. The other song will be picturised on a specially erected set which is under construction. The post-production works like re-recording and dubbing have already been commenced in a studio in Hyderabad.

Directed by Ramakrishna and termed as a 'different love story', Srinivas is producing Romeo under the banner of Sudha Entertainments. The audio will be launched on 12th March and the movie is slated for release on 27th March.

NTR, the hero in Bobbili Puli remake

We are well aware of how big a sensation was created by Bobbili Puli with the late NT Rama Rao in the title role, a few decades ago. A strong rumour is making rounds that the same director is planning to re-create history by remaking the film with his grandson NT Rama Rao. 

It has also been learnt that NT Rama Rao expressed his happiness when Dasari Narayana Rao proposed the project. If everything goes well, the film would go to the sets some where during this month itself, say sources in Film Nagar.

Puri declares release date before shooting!

Earlier there was a practice to announce the release day of a film on the day it starts rolling. But, the practice was shunned as several technical problems started erupting during the film shooting. However, Puri Jagannath has decided to follow the old tradition by announcing the release date even before the launch of the regular shooting of a film with Prabhas and Kangana Ranaut in the lead.

According to Puri, “We are planning to launch the regular shooting on March 18 and we will release it on August 15 at any cost. Though the film has action in its backdrop, the film would have a good message for the youth. We have prepared a story that perfectly suits the body language of Prabhas and I am confident that it would remain a blockbuster in Prabhas’ career.”

The film is being produced by Aditya Ram on the banner of Adityaram Movies with Puri Jagannath as the presenter. Nine more films are likely to come up in the combination of Aditya Ram and Puri Jagannath.

The shooting of the film Oye with Siddharth as hero and Shamili as heroine, directed by Anand, the protégé of Bommarillu Bhaskar, and produced by DVV Danaiah under the banner of Universal Media is progressing near Vizag. According to the information, a set worth Rs 20 lakh was exclusively erected for the film at Rushikonda where the film shooting is in progress. 

A song is being choreographed now. The film will have sentiment in its backdrop and the shooting would continue there till the end May. The film unit would shift to Hyderabad in April to complete the balance part.

It is said that Kollywood's sensational hero Surya's forthcoming Tamil film Ayan, directed by cinematographer-turned-director K.V. Anand and produced by A.V.M., will be dubbed and released in Telugu as Veedokaade. Sun Pictures has bought the distribution rights of Ayan and is expected to release the film worldwide in April.

Tantalizing damsel Tamanna is the heroine. Extensively shot at the various locations of Namibia, Malaysia, Zanzibar and South Africa, Ayan has already completed its entire shooting and is now in post-production stage. While shooting in Africa, Surya chose to perform extremely risky fight sequences himself instead of opting for body doubles.

Initially titled Boomathiya Regai, Ayan has background score and sound tracks by Harris Jayaraj. Cinematography is by the director himself. Veteran actor Prabhu, the dimple-cheeked hero who ruled Kollywood during his younger years, will be seen in a prominent role. Mumbai model-actor Akashdeep Sehgal is the villain. The film also has Karunas and Koena Mitra in major roles.

Allu Arjun in search of a foreign babe

Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s latest Telugu film, to be directed by Gunasekhar and produced by hit maker D.V.V. Danaiah under the banner of Universal Media, will start rolling from March 21. The film was launched at Gunasekhar’s office on December 15.

The hunt is still on for a new heroine. If initial reports are to be believed, Allu Arjun wants a foreign babe as his heroine in this film which will be shot in three schedules. The first two schedules will end by March and April. The third schedule will start in April end and will continue till the entire shooting is complete.

According to director Gunasekhar, the story has such potential that Allu Arjun alone could play the hero's character and this would be best-ever character in his career so far. The crew has been working on the script for the past six months.

Cinematographer R.D. Rajasekhar (of Gharshana and Ghajini fame) is reportedly so impressed with the story that he agreed not to work for any other films till the completion of this flick. Another specialty of the film is that about 50 families are playing roles in this film along with their family members. Mani Sharma has scored music for lyrics penned by Veturi. Srikar Prasad edits the film, while Peter Haynes choreographs action sequences. Ashok is the man behind art.

We have seen the likes of Meenakshi going in for a complete image change, from simple to oomph in her recent movies Perumal and TN 07 AL 4777. It is heard that Genelia too was approached to don a bikini, but she refused. Genelia prefers to be in the 'No Bikini Club' along with Trisha, who has also stayed away from donning a bikini in films.

But being a part of the no-bikini club has not reduced the offers for these girls. The girl who sizzled in Pawan Kalyan’s Badri, Mahesh Babu’s Nani and NTR’s Narasimhudu  Ameesha Patel is currently dating Delhi based businessman Kanav Puri. It seems that she has finally got a 'filmi' boyfriend. Kanav Puri liked the pictures of his ladylove in a celebrity calendar so much that he has adorned the walls of his home with them. 

The said pictures even featured on OK! magazine's Jan '09 cover. “Kanav has been distributing the issue among all his friends and family. Not only this, he is an understanding boyfriend too as he doesn't object to her sexy photoshoots,” said a source. Well Ameesha, seems like you are on the right track!

My workout regime: 

Honestly, I don’t follow a strict workout regime. Fortunately I’m blessed with a good metabolism so I can afford to skip my workout at times. Actors don’t have fixed timings of work — sometimes we work for 24 hours at a stretch — like I did last week for a song in Bangalore. After an exhausting 24 hours shoot, there was no way any of us could hit the gym the next day but I still try to hit the gym as much as I can because it refreshes me. An actor’s daily routine is rarely fixed. So essentially I have no fixed workout regime. Whenever I get time I exercise in the gym. Those days it’s a balance of one-day cardio and one-day weights. I also do yoga whenever I’m not exercising. It keeps me fresh and energetic. I also like cycling. Besides a good run is always refreshing. Being in Bollywood means a lot of dancing, so that should be counted as a fitness mantra too! 

My daily diet:    

Breakfast is the most important meal for me. I start my day with a glass of vegetable juice and a glass of orange juice with two egg whites and toast. Apart from that I eat everything from burgers and pizzas, pani puri to Chinese. Italian is my favourite cuisine and all Italian dishes seem to be full of cheese! I do however, believe in having small meals. I end up eating six to eight small meals that keep me going through the day. When one eats two or three times a day, one tends to overeat, which is why it is better to have small meals to do away with overeating.  

 

My happiness quotient:    

My happiness quotient lies in music. I love romantic music. Also things I see around me like happy children crossing the street as I pass by or seeing cute little puppies. Just the sight makes me happy. I love having them around me, all innocent and playful. These are all very small things but they give me tremendous joy. I feel happy when people around me are happy and of course spending time with my family gives me immense happiness. 

My idea of relaxation:    

Relaxation to me means two words: sleep and shop. I am a total shopaholic! Some people get tired of shopping but it really does rejuvenate me! It stimulates me creatively and gets me to experiment. And sleeping, what can I say, I can sleep anywhere, anytime…no fuss! If you ask me to stand at a bus stop and fall asleep, believe me, I will!

Neetu not forgotten Rajashekhar

After having won hearts with her recent glamour photo shoot for Maxim, Neetu Chandra, the lady with the terrific smile is back with her latest offering 13B, a thriller. This film sees her being paired opposite talented R Madhavan.  When asked about the film, “All I can say is that it`s a super natural thriller and a complete family drama which the whole family can watch together. Beyond this, I can`t say anything about the film because that will have me letting the cat out of the bag. But yes... I promise that 13B is one of the best thrillers that anyone would have ever seen.”

NTR takes five takes to kiss Nayanthara

NTR-Nayanthara is busy with the shooting of V.V.Vinayak film. If the sources are to be believed, this film may is all getting ready to hit screens all over the places in summer. 

According to a source from the industry, recently a kissing scene has been shot on NTR and Nayanathara and NTR was struggling hard to come up with a fine shot. It is also said that he took five takes to complete the shot. Of course it was not a lip to lip kiss screen. NTR was supposed to kiss sleeping Nayan on her cheek.

Venky, Kamal together

The combination of Kamal Haasan and Venkatesh has finally been materialized. Although they were to act together in Kamal’s ambitious film Marmayogi, the project was dropped off due to budget constraints. Now they are coming together for a quickie - remake of Hindi hit A Wednesday. According to sources, Venkatesh has agreed to be part of this film that starts it shooting from March 2nd week at a specially erected set in Hyderabad. Kamal is producing it on his Raj Kamal Movies banner while Chakri, the guy who did the role of kid photographer in Kamal’s Sagara Sangamam, is directing it. 

Earlier this project landed in legal trouble as Telugu producer Kiran Kumar (Homam and Siddham) went to court over its remake rights as he reportedly paid advance to the UTV that produced A Wednesday in Hindi. Buzz is that now everything is settled and Kamal is producing it along with UTV.

Gamyam director’s next is 'Vedham'

It is official. Director Radhakrishna’s much-touted second film - Krishnam Vande Jagdugurum with hero Venkatesh has been put on backburner. Now the talented director moves on to a new project. Buzz is that he will be doing a flick titled Vedham with another starcast. Soon after the success of his debut Gamyam, Radhakrishna was offered to direct a film with Venkatesh for producer Ashwini Dutt. He sat over the project for a year but it has finally been put aside for reasons unknown. 

This new movie - Vedham - will start very soon. Y Shobhanadri and Prasad Devineni are producing this. 

'Billa' and 'Kick' to kick start summer rush

Prabhas and Ravi Teja’s latest flicks are going to be the first major releases this summer 2009. Prabhas’s Billa had completed the shooting of its talkie part recently. Directed by Meher Ramesh, this big budgeted movie is one of the hottest films this summer as it showcases sexy Anushka in for the first time on screen. Also Prabhas is doing for the first time complete action role with loads of entertainment. The movie is shot in Malaysia and Bangkok for the most part. The movie is expected to hit the screens on April 2nd week or 3rd week. 

On the other hand, Ravi Teja’s Kick is also expected to come to the theatres same time. The movie is in the last stage of shooting and its music is going to be out by March 2nd week. Ravi Teja is paired with top actress Ileana in this flick being directed by Surender Reddy.

Other big films like Ram Charan's Magadheera, Sekhar Kammula's untitled movie, Allu Arjun's Arya 2 might follow these films in May.

Ayesha Takia married her boy-friend

'Super' sexy Ayesha Takia married her long time boyfriend Farhan. Her wedding took place on Sunday (March 1, 2009) in Mumbai. They had a quiet nikaah as per Islam tradition. NTR prepares for political ‘pracharam’

NTR has given break to his film shootings. For the past one week, he has been busy watching film clippings of Late NTR and his electoral speeches. NTR (Jr) is all set to tour costal Andhra from March 12th and canvass for Telugu Desam Party. He is the trump card for TD president Nara Chandrababu Naidu. NTR (Jr), known for his powerful dialogues and temporal speeches, is readying himself for long political speeches. He has halted the shooting of his current film directed by V V Vinayak and produced by TD MLA Kodali Naani. 

NTR will start his coastal Andhra tour by performing 'ksheerabhishekam' to Late NTR and Basavatarakam idols at Nimmakuru, the birth place of his grandfather. Then he would begin his political yatra on March 12th from Sreekakulam.

Sridevi to marry Hyderabad businessman

Actress Sridevi is all set to tie the knots. She is getting married to Rahul, a Hyderabad based software business entrepreneur. The marriage alliance is said to have arranged by her parents - Manjula and Vijay Kumar (both are the actors). Engagement ceremony would take place on March 15th. Marriage date is fixed on June 18. Sridevi has made her debut opposite Prabhas in Eeshwar and since then acted in many Telugu films but success has been very elusive to her.

Is Vaibhav Dating With Swetha Prasad

Swetha Prasad who was seen as a homely girl in Kotha Bangaru Lokam is seen in low waist jeans and cleavage revealing tops, these days. When asked, she reveals that this is the latest fashion in Mumbai which is her home town.

According to sources, Actor Vaibhav who is a son on a director + producer Kodandarami reddy, is in love with Swetha Prasad and is totally bowled by her tempting figure. Vaibhav and Swetha are paired in a film together which is being directed by Director Kodhanda Rami reddy.

The sources reveal that Vaibhav is busy either chatting or laughing with Swetha in her car and the two are dating seriously from the past 5 days. It is reported that they visit to Pizza Corners and coffee shops after their day of shoot and chat for long hours and laugh on some adult and silly jokes.

Bhumika’s Yagam

‘Yagam’, featuring Navdeep and Bhumika in central roles is directed by PA.Arun Prasad. Jointly produced by Raju and Praveen, the film completed its shooting and presently in post production. Kim Sharma is playing the second heroine in the film.

Director Arun Prasad informed that the film is made in the backdrop of Bangkok with a love story of a youth working in a bar and an air hostess. While their life was going on smoothly another woman enter into their life resulting in complications and how they come out of those complications is all about the film, said the producer. 

The producer is aiming to release the audio shortly and the film by March.
