She is known as the hot Malayalam beauty and has been ruling the roost in the southern circuit but off late she has been getting more famous for controversies and unwanted issues. Here are a few excerpts from her thoughts.
Temples and tiffs:
Recently Nayan went for having a darshan at the famous Mannaserry Killikavu temple near Ottapalam in Kerala. She was dressed in a neat salwar-kameez but what she did not know was the protocol at this Bhagavathy (Amman) temple. The women should wear sari to enter the premises and Nayan was not aware of this. It seems her dress caused annoyance to a group of locals and after praying at the temple, the authorities and locals got into an argument with her and expressed objection over her dress code. However, the situation calmed down after a while when Nayan apologized to the authorities and the matter was settled peacefully. She has also done a Thulabaram at the famous Chettikulangara Devi Temple in Mavelikkara near Alleppy in Kerala.
Devotion and faith:
Nayan says that she has been trying her best not to get into controversies but for no fault of hers she gets dragged into unwanted stuff. She recalls that she grew up in an army garrison as her father was in the air force. Apparently, a temple, church and mosque are all situated in the same compound in the Garrison. So from her childhood, Nayan said that she used to pray at all places of worship. Now, when she shoots near a famous temple anywhere in India, she makes it a point to visit the place.
Struggles of living alone:
Nayan feels that she is fighting the battles of being a lone lady without the support of parents, managers and relatives. She tends to take decisions on her own and it is also said that for the last six months, the pretty starlet has been absent from the parties and also tries to stay away from film functions. She is said to be keen on keeping to herself and when asked about it, Nayan says that she doesn’t miss anybody and enjoys her privacy. She also says that she is able to concentrate more on her career that way.
Future projects:
Career wise, the pretty actress is riding high with some plum projects. She is all excited about K S Ravikumar’s Aadhavan with hot star Suriya and then she has two Telugu films — one with NTR jr and the other with Ravi Teja titled ‘Anjaneyulu’. Speaking about Surya, Nayan said that Surya is soft spoken and a complete professional and they have shot almost 80 percent of the film which has shaped out really well. Finally, she concludes that her hands are full for this year with four films in three languages and right now she is enjoying every moment of it.
Competition:
Nayan says that the competition from the new starlets is bound to happen and honestly states that success doesn’t last forever in tinsel town. She also added that it is not realistic to remain at the top permanently as a lot of fresh talents are coming up everyday. The pretty girl says that there is no point brooding over it since that’s how the system works.
