Shriya speaks about vikram and Rajnikanth

The buzz doing the rounds these days is that after their lip-lock scene in Kandasamy, Shriya Saran has been in constant touch with her co-actor Vikram over phone and they chat for long hours, so much so her phone bills are sky rocketing!

Denying these rumours, Shriya clarified that firstly, the scene is not really a ‘lip-lock’ and secondly, she wouldn’t want to talk about it. Ahem! But yes, this damsel had a lot to talk about Vikram. “Oh! he’s a darling. It is a pleasure to work with him. I always had 10 things that I could never do but now, he’s changed the same list to the 10 things I can do,” she gushes. “He is my mentor,” she adds.

Rewinding, she spoke about Rajinikanth who she admires a lot for the kind of human being he is. “Simplicity is his style and he’s a miracle,” said the actress who will also be seen in Deepa Mehta’s What’s Cooking, Stella? She plays the role of a servant in the movie. She is in complete awe of Deepa and calls her an actor’s director. She’s amazed at the way Deepa can convince her actor to do any role, and give their best.

A Voracious Reader :
Shriya reads whenever she feels lonely. Jean-Dominique Bauby’s The Diving Bell And The Butterfly has influenced her the most and Amitav Ghosh’s Sea of Poppies is one of her recent reads.
