Nayantara apologises to locals

It is the custom at most of the temples in Kerala that women should wear sarees or the traditional dress during their darshan, while men, the mundu without shirt. Be it politicians or actors, many celebrities have evoked unnecessary controversies in the past after breaching the code of conduct of Kerala temples.

Now, South India's glamour property Nayantara is the latest in the list. She was forced to apologise to locals after she entered a temple in Kerala wearing a churidar.

Sources said that Nayantara was on her way to a shoot location of her ongoing Malayalam film Bodyguard near Ottapalam in Palakkad, when she stopped her car for a darshan at Manissery Bhagawathy temple in Killikavu. She entered the temple without paying heed to the temple rules that women are not supposed to wear churidar inside the temple premises.

When some people tried to prevent her from entering the shrine, the actress got engaged in a fight with them and she even managed to get inside. After about 10 minutes, Nayantara came out of temple and by the time everything had gone out of her control.

People turned violent and mobbed her car. Moreover, they demanded an apology from her for entering the temple wearing a churidar which they said was against custom. The people allowed her to leave only after she apologised, sources said. We don’t understand what these celebrities think who they are!
