Aswini Dutt to Produce Jr NTR Again

Aswini Dutt made Kantri with Jr NTR in the direction of Meher Ramesh. The news is that Aswini Dutt is planning to make another film with NTR. The more intresting part here is that Meher Ramesh who made Kantri is going to direct this movie. Meher Ramesh also made Billa recently. Kantri or Billa did not turn into big hits but still Meher Ramesh is directing big budget movies.
Jr NTR has heard the story and has agreed to do the film. Guess NTR has to be a little cautious in choosing his movies.

Magadheera Confirmed on 22nd July

At last the release date of the Magnum Opus of tollywood ‘Magadheera’ was announced to release on 22nd July. The audio of this flick will be out on 28th of June in a function to be held at Shilpa Kala Vedika. This flick is expected to release with huge number of prints all over the world. M.M.Keeravani has composed the music and Senthil Kumar handled the camera Allu Aravind is producing this film on Geetha Arts banner in the direction of Rajamouli.

Posani becomes software engineer

The Mental Krishna of the Telugu circuit, Posani Krishnamurali who is known for his eccentric movies and sleazy dialogues is all set to surprise, rather shock the audience. There is news that he would be directing a new movie and this happens to be a family entertainer.

To top it all, Posani would be seen doing the role of a team leader and he is pairing up with none other than Arthi Agarwal who has now come back after her wedding. The film is being produced by Nallam Padmaja and the shooting will commence on July 22nd of this month.

Asin is injured and alone in her new home

Asin has badly injured her right leg while practising her martial arts Kalaripayattu in Kerala.

The leg, apparently, was so swollen that Asin could hardly move let alone walk the ramp at a film awards event that was to take place a few days later.

However, a commitment is a commitment. That’s what this spunky South Indian lass has been taught by her parents. So off she went limping to Macau all alone, and hiding it so well that no one knew the pain she was going through. Adding to her pain is the fact that Asin takes no allopathic medicines.

“Yes, that’s true, ” admits Asin from her new spacious home in Green Acres Andheri. “It’s not just about the martial arts training. I’ve been brought up in an atmosphere where we don’t use artificial foods articles sweetners, spices, etc. In our home sugar is called ‘white poison’. We use only gur. I don’t take aerated drinks, chocolates, and junk food. And yes no allopathic medicines. Only Ayurveda.”

Limping, though not showing it, Asin is back in Mumbai now. And instead of heading straight to her parents’ comforting home and lap, Papa’s little girl, now suddenly all grown up, headed straight to her new home where she’s nursing her leg and recovering in isolation.

Laughs Asin, “Why does that surprise you so much? Asin laughs heartily. ‘Everyone presumed I couldn’t take a step without my father just because he accompanied me everywhere. But even though I was the only child I was always taught to be self sufficient and independent.”

Hence, although her parents live a stone’s throw away from her in Mumbai Asin doesn’t keep turning them for help or comfort.

“They live just two kms away. But they don’t come here at all. And I don’t visit them once in a while. I’m in this spacious house all alone. Even the domestic help comes only during the day time. It’s just me and my injured leg, and guess what? I‘m just not feeling sorry for myself.”

And the fact that she’s using the Ayurvedic treatment prescribed by Kalaripayattu adds to the time taken for her healing.

“But I am enjoying my enforced time at home. I’m making new friends, learning to be self dependent.”

High Court Notice to Allu Aravind

High Court of Chennai has issued notice to Allu Aravind to submit the revenue derived out of the Hindi Picture “Ghajani” following the petition filed by the original Tamil version producer Chandrasekhar.

It is known to everybody that the original Tamil “Ghajani” producer Chandrasekhar went to the High court and got stay on the release of the Hindi version before the release. Allu Aravind has deposited an amount in the court and vacated the injunction order and got the picture released and it proved a big hit.

Thereafter Aravind went to Supreme Court on the proceedings of High court, Chennai. Now the High Court has given notice to Aravind, responded to the petition filed by Chandrasekhar on the collections of the Hindi version.

Meena to continue acting after marriage

It is heard that the crew will shoot a few songs on Mahesh Babu and Anuksha in this period.

After the tremendous success of Athadu (2005), this is the second time Mahesh Babu teams up with director Trivikram Srinivas in Varudu, an adventurous, comedy-oriented love story, produced by Singanamala Ramesh under the banner of Kanakarathna Movies. Mahesh Babu plays the role of a taxi driver, while Prakashraj is the villain.

Sunil and Brahmanandam have key roles in this movie being cinematographed by ace Bollywood cameraman Sunil Patel of Hum Tum and Bachna Ae Haseeno fame. Mani Sharma is scoring the music.

Badrinath: Allu Arjun’s next flick

We know that after the super hit Bunny (2005), stylish star Allu Arjun teams up with director V.V. Vinayak again in a commercial flick to be produced by hit maker Allu Aravind under the banner of Geetha Arts. Now it is heard that this film has been titled Badrinath.

Satya Prakash turns hero

Satya Prakash is making his debut as hero with Guts, directed by Gosangi Subba Rao and produced by Nainal Sairam under the banner of Lakshni Durga Productions.

"Guts is a trianglular love story with class and mass elements. The basic story is about a rowdy who fall in love with a girl. Extensively shot in the surroundings of Hyderabad, the film has 6 songs and 7 fights," the director revealed. The film has already completed its entire shooting and is now in post production stage.

Disha and Pakhi Hegde are the heroines. Other cast members include Vijay Bhaskar, Chitram Basha, Rajendra and Jenny. Camera is by Paidala Srinivas; dialogues are by Jayanth; Guts is presented by Nainala Haimavathi Sambamurthy; Danunjay Misra is the music director.

A handbag containing diamond-studded jewellery worth Rs. 30 lakh and Rs. 60,000 cash belonging to Tamil-Telugu actor Vishal’s mother Janaki Devi, was stolen when she went to a textile store at Basheerbagh in Hyderabad on Monday.

She went to Dharmavaram silk sari shop located near Ohri’s at Basheerbagh around 4 p.m. While seeing the saris, Janaki Devi placed her handbag on the floor, the Saifabad police said. After selecting some saris, she looked for the handbag to pay the bill, but it had disappeared by then.

Police said the shop was located five metres off the main road and strangers moving on the road might have set their eyes on the bag when she put it on the floor. The shop had no secret cameras. The 55-year-old woman hailing from Chennai came to the city on Sunday to attend a function.

Mahesh and Anushka to romance in the deserts

Mahesh Babu and director Trivikram’s current film is progressing at brisk pace. The unit has just returned from Bangkok where important scenes were canned for 15 days. Now, Mahesh Babu and Anushka with entire crew is leaving for Rajasthan for a long schedule. Chiranjeevi to release ‘Magadheera’ songs

Magadheera which has tollywood Tarzan Ram Charan teja and Kajal Agarwal in the lead will hit the silver screens in the second week of July. On June 19th, the audio release function is being panned and Chiranjeevi will release the music of his son’s Magadheera on a grand scale.

Tollywood industry is said to be struggling these days as the movies which are flooding (like tides to the shore) at the box office are either disappointing or proving as mega flops. At this stage, the investments which are being made in the films are not being able to be retrieved at the box office. As a result many producers are feeling threatened to release their products or are selling them to the movie channels nowadays at no profit-no loss basis.

So, what are basic principles for tailoring a super hit film or a blockbuster film? Big hero, skin revealing actresses, story, music, dialogues, screen play, choreography and likewise form the basic ingredients for a super hit. But nowadays, the first two mentioned words i.e. big hero and skin revealing actresses are unnecessary for a movie to reach a super hit tag.

The year 2008 passed on with only few hits like READY, Kotha Bangaru Lokam and others which had neither big star cast nor powerful dialogues. But these movies had a bit interesting storyline, good music and moreover offered entertainment to all sections of audiences.

So, all you producers, directors and actors who feel to offer entertainment, atleast concentrate on the storyline, music and innovative screenplay in your upcoming movies and offer complete entertainment to the movie buffers.

This will at least make the film industry survive, if not revive in future.

Mahesh babu wants Law against the media

Prince Mahesh babu, who is now a father of a child, has abused the media for touching his personnel life issues and making them public. However, he sentenced that a certain section of the media on this issue and desired for a law against the media which publishes false news.

Recently, in a press conference, the chocolate faced hero lost his cool and abused the media for cooking up wrong stories against him and his family. He pointed out that his relationship with his elder sister Manjula was unnecessarily dragged by the media and was made public.

He also commented on the news which was published a couple of months back which stated that he was kidnapped and his wife was arguing for a divorce and alimony. Prince Mahesh pleaded the media then after and said that he was a normal human being filled with emotions, he also added that such false news created by the media can ruin the life of a person. He demanded that a certain section of the media was writing against celebrities in order to make money and demanded for a law against those media persons.

Later on, when he said that he will now on be available for just a few newspapers, a media representative asked Mahesh that all sections of media are like a family and so being available for only few newspapers will be unfair. this year. “Currently I am working for Trivikram’s film which is under progress. I may start another film in the direction of Gowtham Menon next month,” he added.

The big eyed sweet girl Swathi who rocked the Kollywood audience with her debut movie 'Subramanyapuram' which later got dubbed into 'Ananthapuram 1980' in Telugu is again setting foot in Tamil. There is news that she has been roped in for a new project and yet again, she will pair up with Jai. The film marks the debut of Sripathi as the director and Swathi is said to have got a very interesting character to play in this one. Lets see if she can spell her magic again or not.

Gopi Chand Trisha's Sankham in ramoji film city

75% of the film Sankham has been completed. The shooting of this Gopichand and Trisha starrer is going on at RFC and it will go on till 15th of this month. This will be followed by canning of two songs and a few scenes in Sydney. The audio will be out in July third week and the film will release in August. Satyaraj, a Tamil actor plays a vital role whereas Kota Srinivas Rao, Chandramohan, Brahmanandam, Ali, Venu Madhav, Krishna Bhagawan form rest of the cast. The film is produced by J. Bhagawan and J. Pulla Rao.

Kagna ranaut Single now

Its official now, Kangna Ranaut has said goodbye to her boyfriend Adhyayan Suman. In reality this was one relation that was not happening, initially Adhyayan was insistent that the lady act only with him in her forthcoming movies. Kangna lost some major projects because of this. In an escape route she also signed a Telugu movie.

Then dad Shekar Suman interfered too much in the relationship and tried to dictate terms to Adhyayan and Kangna. All this has ultimately brought to an end the relationship between the two actors.

It is now believed that Kagna is looking forward to a new relationship and she has signaled her single status to all. She is also very positive about her new projects.

Mandira Bedi in Demand

Mandira Bedi resurfaced in India after her IPL stint in South Africa. The actress was spotted in Chennai inaugurating a Tommy Hilfiger showroom. The media which was very much present on the occasion asked the lady about her new short hair cut during the IPL.

The actress replied that she has this cut for a new look, but she would soon grow back her hair as she is much in demand in films again and the producers and directors of these films want her with her long hair-do.

News is also that she would do a sexy item number in one of her forthcoming films.

Hansika to pair up with hero Nitin

Sexy, teenage actress Hansika has signed another Telugu film. This time she is starring with hero Nitin in a new flick to be directed by Eeshwar Reddy of Siddhu From Seekakulam fame. Producers of Siddhu From Seekukalam are making this movie with Nitin and Hansika. Regular shooting started from June 15th.

Although, most of the recent films done by Nitin bombed at the box-office, he is still getting good offers. And that too he manages to rope in hot and happening actresses.

Jagapathi Babu as Chiranjeevi

P.A. Arun Prasad of Thammudu and Bhale Vaadivi Boss-U! fame is all set to direct Jagapathi Babu in his forthcoming film. The film is tentatively titled Maa Naanna Chiranjeevi. Arun Prasad, who also directed small movies such as Gowtham SSC and Prema Sandadi in the past, is directing two films currently. One of them stars Brahmanandam and Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy himself as the Chief Minister. The other one, Yaagam, starring Navadeep, Kim Sharma, and Bhumika in Bhumika's home production, is wrapping up soon. The venture planned with Jagapathi Babu may thus have to wait some more.

Meanwhile, Jagapathi Babu is still a producers' favorite star despite flops such as Siddham and Bangaaru Babu and average flick such as Adhineta. He's busy with a string of films up his sleeve. Srinivas Reddy of Yamagola Malli Modalaindi is doing his next with Jagapathi Babu, and Madan of Pellaina Kotthalo... is back with Pravarakhyudu with the hero. The next couple of months will thus see the muhurtam clap for at least three movies of Jagapathi Babu.

Srinu Vaitla says Namo "Venkatesha"

Srinu Vaitla after the super sucess of Ready and King is all set to direct Venkatesh. The film tentively titled as Namo Venkatesha is ready to go to floors in this month. Trisha plays the herione role while Vaitla's comedy batch will play the important roles in the film. Devisri prasad scores the music. Kona venkat and Gopi Mohan provides the story and dialogues.

Mahesh to start next film.

Mighty Mahesh is all set to start his next film. He will be starting his next film from July 20 informs Manjula. Mahesh sister Manjula is producing the film under Indira productions banner. The film will be directed hy Gautam menon and has A.R.Reham as the music director. Search for the new herione is going on. The film will be shot simultaneously along with the Varudu says Manjula.

Uday Kiran signs Tamil film with Meera

After a long break, Uday Kiran has signed another film. He is also known actor in Tamil film industry, he is trying to make his presence felt. He is playing lead role in a Tamil film to be launched shortly and the specialty of the movie is it is penned by renowned screen writer and Tamilnadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. Meera Jasmine is paired with him which is directed by Ilavenil and produced by Nandini Arts. Maestro Ilayaraja provides the music.

Krishnavamsi - Raviteja film starts

Suresh's Sri Saiganesha productions held pooja at thier office for the film with Krishnavamsi and Raviteja. The film regular shooting will start from next month first week. Ravi uppalapati will be the co-producer for this project, Other cast and crew are yet to be finalized.

The rumour mill is working overtime that Prabhu Deva has married Nayanthara at a hush hush ceremony in Hyderabad on Friday, June 5. Prabhu and Nayanthara have been rumoured to be in love ever since they worked together in Villu, a Tamil film. Now the grapevine has it that she is extremely close to him.

The rumours about their affair, led credence when the actress tattooed Prabhu’s name (P in English and the rest in Tamil), a little above her wrist at Hakim’s Alim newly launched tattoo lounge in Hyderabad. This proves that the actress loves Prabhu and wanted to announce it to the world too.

Nayanthara said: “Even I heard about my marriage. Isn’t that funny? I’m not even in Hyderabad right now. Everyone knows that I am a very open person and when I decide to get married, I will officially announce it to the media. I believe in the institution of marriage and when it happens, it will be with the blessing of my parents. I don’t need to do it secretly.”

NTR - Vinayak film commences this month end

NTR is all to set to return to the shooting locations after a gap of three months. To participate in political campaign for Telugu Desam party, he stopped shooting for the films from March, and later he severely injured in a road accident. So he couldn’t attend shootings. Now, he is perfectly alright, director V V Vinayak is resuming the shooting of his film from this month end. NTR will join it too from month end onwards. So perhaps, he may not attend the TANA meeting to be conducted this month end.

Deepika Padukone in Jayant’s 'Love 4 Ever'

Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone is stepping into Tollywood. The sexy, tall and most-happening actress of Hindi films has been roped in for a Telugu movie by director Jayanth C Paranji. In his current Telugu film titled Love 4 Ever, she is going to appear in a song. The song will be shot on Deepika from June 24th and Brinda will choreograph it. The movie stars newcomer Ranadeep and Mridula in the lead roles. It is going to new kind of love story. Bollywood writer Anvita (who wrote for Bachna Ae Haseeno) is scripting the film while Ram Sampat (of Khaki fame) is providing the music.

Prabhas goes to switzerland

Prabhas along with Kanganaraut will leave to switzerland for the songs shooting of Ek Niranjan from June 18 to the end of the month. The film completed the 50 percent shooting informs the producer Aditya ram. After the shooting in Switzerland the film will move to Bankok for a month where the remaining scenes will be canned infroms the producer. The film is slated for Dasserra release. Puri directs Prabhas after Bujjigadu. Sonusood, Mukuldev, Makarandespande, Brahamandam, Sunil, Venumadhav etc are in in supporting cast. Shyam K Naidu handles the camera. Manisharma scores the music.

Finally Bindhu Madhavi gets 'Bumper Offer'

Finally, Bindhu Madhavi has grabbed another interesting film. This Telugu girl made grand debut in Sekhar Kammula produced Avakayi Biryani but could not get more films, as the film didn’t do well at Boxoffice. Yet, she was immediately considered opposite Sairam Shankar in the direction of Puri Jagannadh. But the film was shelved. Later, Puri has decided to produce another film with Sairam Shankar in the direction of Ravi. So she was roped in again to do this film. The film’s shooting has just started last week. It has music by Raghu Kunche. Bumper Offer is the title almost finalised for it.

Prince Maheshbabu finally gave clearance for his next film to be directed by Gautam Menon. The shooting schedule of the film will start from June 20th. Music maestro A.R.Rehman will compose the music for the film.
